PG&E offers two electric vehicle rate plans for residential customers. EV2-A combines your vehicle's electricity costs with those of your residence. EV-B involves the installation of another meter, which separates your vehicle's electricity costs from those of your home's electricity usage.

Residential customers within PG&E service area that have a standard split-phase 240v electrical service and select from one of the vehicles/chargers listed in the Getting Started tab. Enrollment in customer group A.5 Vehicle-Grid Integrations of the Emergency Load Reduction Program (ELRP) is required and offers additional incentives.

The Residential Charging Solutions program offers eligible customers a rebate on PG&E-approved electric vehicle (EV) charging equipment.

The Vehicle-to-Everything Pilot Program helps PG&E and its customers better understand and leverage the value of bidirectional charging technology. Bidirectional charging technology, like the GM Energy Product Suite, provides emergency backup power from a compatible GM electric vehicle (EV) to your home. In exchange for allowing PG&E to see how this technology works during a grid outage, PG&E is compensating enrollees with up to $4,500 in incentives.

Take the guesswork out of charging and save with EV Charge Manager. This program, provided by PG&E in partnership with WeaveGrid, schedules electric vehicle charging when electricity prices and demand are at their lowest.

If you drive a vehicle that meets certain emissions standards and other criteria, you may be able to get Clean Air Vehicle (CAV) decals and a CAV decal identification (ID) card, which allow single occupancy use of High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV, or carpool) lanes.

If you have a qualifying clean air vehicle (CAV) with a yellow, teal, burgundy or green clean air decal, you are eligible to drive in the carpool lane on state-owned bridges and in Bay Area Express Lanes as a single occupant and receive applicable toll discounts. You must use a properly set FasTrak Flex or FasTrak CAV toll tag to receive a discount on Bay Area express lanes. Does not apply to the Golden Gate Bridge. All vehicles must meet the minimum passenger requirement to travel in the carpool lane on the Golden Gate Bridge.

The Consumer Assistance Program provides $1,350 to $2,000 to support the retirement of old, polluting vehicles.

Individuals in low-income communities and non-urban areas who purchase and install qualifying residential charging equipment, may receive a tax credit of 30% of the cost, up to $1,000.

The PACE Loss Reserve Program administered by the California Alternative Energy and Advanced Transportation Financing Authority (CAEATFA) works with partners and lenders to support PACE financing for energy or water efficiency and clean energy home improvements. Property owners in a PACE-designated area can use PACE financing for the above home improvements without a down payment and repayment included in their property tax bills. See if a PACE participant serves your county!

You may qualify for a credit up to $7,500 if you lease a new, qualified battery electric vehicle (BEV), plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) or fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV). During the transaction, the customer should ask the dealership how the tax credit may be incorporated as a reduction to the monthly lease price or down payment.

You may qualify for a credit from $3,750 to $7,500 under Internal Revenue Code Section 30D if you buy a new, qualified battery electric vehicle (BEV), plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) or fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV). The value of the credit may be applied at the point of sale at registered dealerships.

CCFA offers up to $2,000 in additional funding for a level 2 home charger installation and up to $1,000 for level 2 portable charger for your new, used, or leased plug-in hybrid (PHEV) or battery electric vehicle (BEV). Funding is available on a first come first served basis and is subject to availability. Participants have 60 days to submit an estimate request and must receive approval before beginning their installation and purchasing the charger.
